Wouldn't holding on to the rear-view mirror while the car is in motion be cheating? Well, I suppose it's less cheating than any cyclist can be accused of!

There is a sort of gentlemen's agreement that if it is to receive medical care a rider can hang on to the car and get a free ride for a reasonable period of time.
